About Dave Hallier

Hi, I’m Dave Hallier.  Glad you stopped by.

In March of 2012, I turned 63 and formally retired. Of course, I was unemployed for 2 years before that, so nothing much changed. In October of 2012, I got tired of the rut I was in and decided to make a change. I started bidding at online auction sites, buying a few things cheap, then selling them on eBay, Craigslist or to acquaintances. I haven’t turned a profit yet (my barn is now full of “inventory”), but I will soon and I AM LOVING LIFE.

Through this blog, I hope to meet people who are in a rut & want a change or people who were in a rut and have made a change. I’d also like to meet other “brokers” just to share tips and experiences.

Also, I hope to meet people with ideas. I live in a sparsely-populated county and the residents are mostly sparse-minded. Daily, I see opportunities that are being missed by the businesses and individuals here. I’m no marketing guru by any means, but something is beginning to sink into my thick skull; it takes no more work to make $100 than it does to make $1. Do you have an idea that would help you, your family or your community? I hope you’ll join me to talk about these things.
